Robyn Lee has been in the industry over 24 year. During that time she has had the opportunities to work with some of the most respected and talented artists in the industry. She developed a passion for education and pursued that by attending several academies around the country for cutting, styling and coloring, and then in 2010 focused her energy on color education became an America Board Certified Haircolorist.
During her role as education director at a high end salon and spa in the northeast she developed a passion for sharing knowledge and mentoring. She had the privilege to work for top color companies in various education roles to pursue the dream of working with stylists and help them grow their career in this amazing industry.
Working in education gives her the opportunity to continue working with stylists to help elevate our industry to the level of professionalism it deserves. She truly believes in the quote “Success unshared is failure” and that sharing and continuing to provide stylists with the best education and products is the groundwork for success!
Jeff comes to Big Professional with nearly 30 years of experience working in the industry. Coming from humble beginnings in north central Illinois, Jeff ventured to Chicago in 1988 seeking to become the best colorist possible. Jeff worked hard, succeeded, and eventually became a Director of Education for multiple colorist apprentice programs at top salons as well as educating for several major color brands, including Goldwell and Framesi.
Currently, Jeff can be found behind the chair full time at a boutique salon on the North Shore of Chicago.
“I am so honored and proud to be a part of the Big Pro team. Our product is unique and one of a kind. I’m also concerned for my health after being exposed to so many
chemicals throughout my career that any way I can reduce the exposure I do so. I’m so looking forward to the great things to come from this wonderful color product and spreading the love of Big to fellow colorists and stylists who also are looking for healthier alternatives.”
Chelsea has been doing hair for 11 years, but her father would say since she was a little girl. She graduated from La’ James International College in Cedar Falls, Iowa. After working at her first salon, she helped open a second location and made it the city’s favorite. She then moved to Iowa City to further her career and received advanced color education with Misael Aponte, and cutting/styling education with Jon Reyman and the whole Aveda artistic team. In February 2017 Chelsea opened Wildflower Hair Studio, in North Liberty, Iowa, where she feels the freedom to create and relate with other people.
“Like wildflowers, you must allow yourself to grow in all the places people thought you never would.” is a quote Chelsea lives by. Since being a part of BIG Professional Color, she has felt more confidence and love for her work. While keeping the earth and it’s
inhabitants safe, she feels there are endless possibilities for clean-quick creativity. In her free time, fishing, hiking, camping, gardening, wine and animals (not necessarily in that order) are some of her favorite things, and of course spending quality time with her family.
Sica Dawn is a licensed hair stylist from the Minneapolis, where she has made a name for herself both behind the chair and as a runway and session stylist. For over a decade she has focused her professional efforts not only on her own independent success, but also on collaborations among other stylists and artists within the Twin Cities, opening her own salon in 2007 as a way to bring a progressive, sustainable, and attainable beauty to her neighborhood.
As she has grown into her own vision of what it means to be an artist, she has continued to obtain advanced education to further her skills through training locally and through local events, large training programs, and brand partnerships, as well as prestigious programs like
HAIR: MASTERED with Sam McKnight and training with the peerless powerhouse of education, Vivienne Mackinder; she is constantly working to stay ahead of the cutting edge in fashion, form and design. She has focused her efforts not only on advancing her techniques behind the chair,
but also on crafting her own unique point of view for both print and stage, working with a number of designers, performers, and publications, and tirelessly looking for new ways to bring her holistic vision of care to support to the world with her particular skills.
Hannah Felice has accomplished a lot in the six years she’s been in the beauty industry. From multiple runway collections to doing hair for Fashion Week Minnesota (#FWMN) to creating a reputation for being a science geek behind the chair, she is involved with all things hair related. She currently resides at the Fox Den Salon in Minneapolis where she enjoys creating texture, building volume in fine locks, and taking on extensive “hair projects”. Hannah is a co-chair for SinkTrap, a collective where beauty industry professionals come together to share knowledge and encouragement.
Hair, makeup, and fashion have been an integral part of her life from a young age. That passion was fully realized and put into profession in 2010 when she graduated from Capri College in Iowa. During that time, she was able to delve into the world of avant garde hair and make-up: and imagine the styles that were possible in the world beyond simple cuts and colors. Since then she has participated in a
number of hair-centric art shows and competitions, all while maintaining a successful career behind the chair making men and women of all ages look and feel their best. She believes that in order to assure any stylist’s skills remain sharp and trends on point, attending continuing education classes need to be a priority, and frequents as many industry events she can.
